Land gently beside the waving hostages. Wait for boarding, then return to the green home pad to unload. Shoot locked barracks to free the others.

Face the screen with X to attack tanks below. Dodge jets and homing mines. Watch your fire, and never land on a hostage.
PILOT REFERENCE
Rescue as many of the 64 hostages as you can. Each of four barracks holds 16 people. Your helicopter has 16 seats and you have three helicopters.
Land in a clear spot beside a freed group. They run to your helicopter and board automatically. Return right to the green pad and wait for everybody to unload. Passengers only count as rescued once they get home.
Tanks attack low helicopters and exposed people. Jets appear after your first full delivery; homing mines after your second. Tanks and jets stay outside the friendly border, but mines can follow you home. An enemy hit or a collision costs a helicopter and everyone aboard.
Mechanics researched from the original manual and this full Apple II playthrough. Original artwork and synthesized sound; no ROM or original game assets.
